Life Cycle of an Engineering Project

The project life cycle contains the steps required for project superiors to supervise a project from start to finish successfully.

There are five steps to the project life cycle (also called the five process groups)

Initiating

Planning

Executing

Monitoring/Controlling

Closing

And Project life cycle explanations retain quality products, proven services, and unique knowledge developed to control or eliminate project problems.

Initiating

Initiate your project with a positive thought, know where the field you get attracts and start your project in that field it's your favorite and interesting field. Then, explore the past projects and get a draft plan and analyse the real-time problem and do projects that will give a suitable solution for that real-time problem.

Planning

An important process in the final year project is proper planning. The planning process is at the heart of the project action cycle and gives guidance from superiors on where and how to undertake the project. The planning stage is where the project plans are documented, the project deliverables and necessities are specified, and the project schedule is created. It involves developing a set of plans to help guide your superior through the execution and closure stages of the project. The plans completed during this stage will help the project team operate time, cost, quality, changes, risk and related issues.

Executing

This process is also known as the execution stage, in which the project designed in the previous stage of the project activity cycle is put into action. The implementation stage of the project activity cycle plans to bring about the project’s expected results. Usually, this is the longest phase of the project life cycle, where most aids are applied. The execution operates all the schedules, processes, and templates prepared and anticipated during the initial phases of the project execution.

Monitoring and control

This process directs all the tasks and metrics required to ensure the project is within scope, on time, and within budget to proceed with minimum risk. In addition, this process involves comparing actual performance with planned implementation and taking corrective action to produce the desired outcome when substantial differences exist.

Closing

The last operation of the project activity cycle ends with an accurate result. In this stage, the project is closed and completed overall project success. The project closing process involves Real-time results over documentation and ends with your satisfaction.
